(12.04.2019) I am sad to inform that the great bulgarian chess composer IM Krassimir Gandev passed away today... He was with bad health for several years and today he lost the fight. Krassimir Gandev was fantastic composer and also good solver in the past. Here you can see more about him and some of his best compositions.

(19.10.2018) The 61th World Congress of Chess Composition and the 42nd World Chess Solving Championship was held in Ohrid (Macedonia) a month ago. Here you can see some of the most important decisions and four 1st prize winner problems of the congress tourneys by GM Petko Petkov - yet another great success for the top Bulgarian Composer!
(10.09.2017) Here you can see the highlights and some of the decisions from the WCCC 2017 Dresden, Germany. 30 member countries were present, unfortunately without bulgarians this year. But the participation in the tourneys during the congress of the IGM Petko Petkov was great. He won a lot of prizes including wins of both sections of the Tzuika tourney which problems you can see here:
(27.02.2017) Today the top Bulgarian composer IGM Petko Petkov celebrate his 75th anniversary! He is 5 times World champion, an Olympic Golden medalist and he is leading the World Ranking for decades!

(03.07.2016) Few minutes ago Plamen Petrov won the Chess problems solving tourney which held in casino Hrisantema (Bulgaria) during the Festival of Mind Sports!
(03.07.2016) Few days ago the results of the WCCI 2013-2015 was presented on the website of the WFCC. There were three bulgarian participants - Diyan Kostadinov, Velko Aleksandrov and Borislav Atanasov. Petko Petkov was a judge in Fairies section.
(04.05.2016) I was very happy to meet the 12th chess world champion Anatoly Karpov in Pomorie, Bulgaria yesterday. He was invited by the major of the city. Day before the visit of the russian grandmaster I composed three symbolic twomovers with his name KA-RP-OV on the diagram and this was my present to him.
(21.03.2016) Today IM Krassimir Gandev celebrating his 70 Years Anniversary! He is one of the best bulgarian composers of all times (with more than 50 FIDE Album points) and also very good solver (he is the first official Bulgarian champion for solving in 1977).
(05.03.2016) I am proud to announce the new version 5.1 of the app for Android OS smartphones and tablets ChessComposer! Many improvements are included and the most important - now the app is freeware and everyone can download and use it for FREE!
