  • Hide away B1 moves.

Thanks Vitaly Medintsev for these two examples. I had not checked well enough for anticipations !! Kapros example is of course very nice with black queen doing everything!

The composers are trying an improved version. Will post later !

Seetharaman, I suppose there is nothing to improve but we'll see :-)
On my opinion, function permutation between BR/BB (hideaway/self-block) is a novel feature that gives reason to consider the problem original

Thanks Vitaly. Yes the function permutation is a distinct feature of this original differentiating it from the precedents.

You are right that no improvement is possible in this setting. What Manikumar and Bala have done is to add two more solutions to this to make it into a nice HOTF. I will publish it as a new original very soon.
