There are two corrections, not Progressive, as the error of the first correction is not carried over in the next correction.

There is indeed change of defence motive. I am not sure what exactly is meant by 'cumulative' or 'progressive' black correction. I assumed these terms to mean the more commonly known 'tertiary' and 'quaternery' black corrections. See the interesting discussion here where the concept of carry over of black errors is explained.

cumulative her is just a pattern that goes from random move defense to random plus correction to random plus correction plus a second correction.
