Interesting! Yuri Bilokin replaces three black pawns with two technical black pieces. Overall there is one less black unit. Not sure if many composers will agree.

Bala showed us an original he is composing in which two black pawns can be replaced by a black rook and he is hesitating! (though some of us felt it is ok).

It is not only about economy, but the fact that WR is not pinned in Yuri's version. This is more important for the idea

I like the version suggested by Kenan in comment #9 and I think it is better than initial one because two thematic black pieces make the both: annihilation and self-block.
3. Qf4 Sxf4# is a little dissonance but it could be accepted, on my opinion
