Problems 621 & 622: Anatoly Stepochkin - Helpmate
anatoly.stepochkin(03.11.2015) Two nice helpmates from Anatoly Stepochkin. In the first he adds dual avoidance blocks to a well known setting. Can it escape anticipation? The other slightly longer one has active white sacrifices with model mates.

About 621. One black piece could be saved by making the following change:
-bPb3, -bPf4, +bSb5.

By the way nice dual avoidance play.

About 622. The bQ could be replaced by bR by simple change in position:
8.8.1p2p2r.4k2S.3pBS2.r7.4K3.8
Also one bP is saved in this position.

Even this problem by Drazkowski could be improved. One bP can be saved by doing the following changes:
bPg4->g2; bRh4->h2 & -bPf2. Now the solutions are:
1.g1R c8R 2.Rg6 e8Q#
1.g1B e8R 2.Bc5 c8Q#
